Programs CLICK has Funded
Streetfront is a unique inner city program serving kids growing up in some of Vancouver’s toughest neighborhoods. The program motivates and inspires youth from 12-17 years of age through marathon running and winter camping. Streetfront youth have completed an impressive 75 marathons.
SINCE 2004, CLICK FUNDING HAS HELPED THOUSANDS OF VANCOUVER INNER CITY CHILDREN AND TEENS…
When CLICK was launched in 2004, our commitment was to support and improve the lives of inner city children and teens in many different areas. For example, we wanted CLICK to contribute to the safety of inner city kids – many of whom walk streets where drug dealers and pimps operate – by supporting vital after-school programs. We also want to increase the access inner city kids have to sports and recreation, arts and culture and school trips – since their families often don’t have the money for these activities. As well, CLICK aimed to support programs that enhance skills – everything from literacy to leadership camps.
When you read through the list of funding recipients below, please see it as much more than programs and activities… but as ways of bringing to young people a sense of self-worth, hope and excitement about their lives and their future.
