In the true spirit of holiday giving, Vancouver’s Crofton House School today donated $35,000 to CLICK (Contributing to Lives of Inner City Kids) – the largest single donation in the history of the charitable foundation.
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of this donation and are deeply grateful that Crofton House is showing a remarkable commitment to making a difference in their community,” said CLICK president Catherine Atyeo.

British Columbia continues to have the highest child poverty rate in Canada, with one in five children living in poverty in the province. Hundreds of children in Vancouver go to school hungry and lack other basics in life. Programs supported by CLICK provide inner city kids with nutritious food, as well as access to safe out-of-school care, literacy support, sports, arts and camps.
“Children in our own city go to school hungry every day. Through the Crofton House Winter Bazaar, we hope to provide our local community an opportunity to affect change in our own backyard,” said Pat Dawson, Head of School, “Children simply cannot learn and grow if they are hungry and we want to do our part to change that.”
CLICK is a community-based, non-profit foundation that was launched in 2004 to help improve the lives of inner city children and youth in Vancouver.
