2012 Inner City Kids Week raises greater awareness and funds. The CLICK-led 2012 Inner City Kids Week, held from May 14-18, was unprecedented in the awareness and funds it generated to help inner city kids in Vancouver. The kick-off to the week on May 14 featured the always exciting Pulling for Inner City Kids tug of war competition. After winning for four years in a row, reigning champions King George Secondary were toppled in an epic pull by Britannia Secondary. The HELP CLICK HELP KIDS Fundraising Reception and Silent Auction on May 16 brought supporters out to bid on fantastic auction items and enjoy the delicious creations of Templeton Secondary’s award-winning culinary arts team.

It’s clear that because of Inner City Kids Week, more Vancouverites are aware of the need to help children and youth living in poverty in our city. And thanks to citizens who care, more than $10,000 was raised in the week for the programs supported by CLICK that make a daily difference to inner city kids. CLICK’s fundraising goal for 2012 is $50,000 and donations can be made at this website anytime. Please help us reach this goal for the kids!

A huge thanks to our Inner City Kids Week partner, the Vancouver Police Department, and our valued sponsors and corporate donors: Westside Tom Gradecak Realty; Vancouver District Students’ Council; WorkSafeBC; Colourtime Printing; The Vancouver Courier; Choices Markets; Ten Thousand Villages; Hootsuite; and Treen Safety.
