CLICK’s 7th Dinner to Make a Difference brought together Vancouverites who want to support children and youth living in poverty in our city. The venue was once again Robbie Kane’s award-winning Café Medina restaurant, offering an intimate atmosphere and superb food. Emcee Fred Lee introduced two outstanding speakers: Anna Forst of The Writers’ Exchange, a literacy program that also feeds hungry children; and Dr. Celina McCaughran-Contreras, a family physician who grew up in the inner city and plans to practice on the Downtown Eastside. Generous guests raised a total of $65,000 which CLICK will direct to critical grassroots programs this spring.
