What we look for in applicants and programs.

CLICK considers grant applications only when both the organization and the program meet the following requirements.

Organization

Requirements of the applicant organization

Both must be true of the organization applying for the grant.

  • Registered charity, or prior CLICK authorizationThe organization must be registered with the Canada Revenue Agency as a charity and provide proof of registration. Or, the organization must have contacted CLICK to discuss eligibility and received prior authorization to apply.
  • Runs the program directlyThe organization must provide the program directly. Bringing in external contributors to lead activities is fine, but the organization itself must operate the program.
Program

Requirements of the program itself

Both must be true of the program receiving the grant.

  • Benefits children and youth in povertyThe program must operate exclusively in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and must benefit children and youth under 19 years, living in poverty.
  • Addresses one or more barriers to successThe program must address at least one of these barriers for inner-city kids:

Preserving the privacy of the kids in your program is essential. Three approaches keep faces unidentifiable while still showing the program in action.
